At a dollar under $20,000, it’s an expensive toy… but it does come with LED lights, a fully functional neural net brain – a learning computer, a fully automatic laser rifle, and enough gripping force to crush a titanium block.  Or maybe just LED lights.

Shipping might be a pain, but if you’re throwing away 20k just for a terminator statue, you might as well fly down to Texas, rent a one-way U-Haul, and drive that thing back to your lonely, empty house.

So the car is over a million dollars, how much do you think the watch made for it is? If you guessed $280,000 you guessed right, but your guess is as good as mine as to how a watch that costs that much had such a high demand they couldn’t keep it exclusive.

Now, i’ve lived on a lake, and the motion can vary greatly – most of the time it’s extremely calm, unless a speed boat goes by, or it’s crappy/windy weather – in which case, it’s rocky/bumpy to an extreme.  So, there better be sensitivity adjustment. It also reminds me of the pilot’s chair in an F-16, which is nearly horizontal and extremely comfortable.

I’m not sure who is getting the Magic Treehouse Bedroom that is currently being constructed by the craftsman at Kidtropolis, but I’m jealous. When I was a kid, I didn’t have any fancy indoor treehouse to sleep in—just a cot and some newspaper. Still, I am not too bitter to recognize the artistry that goes into making a custom bedroom of this caliber. Just don’t let your kids see it—unless you have a lot of money to burn that is.

Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome’s “Day&Night” watch — which does not tell the time, only whether it is night or day — sold out within 48 hours of its launch earlier this year as watch fanatics snapped up the $300,000 timepiece.

“When you ask people what is the ultimate luxury, 80 percent answer ‘time’. Then when you look at other studies, 67 percent don’t look at their watch to tell what time it is,” Chief Executive Yvan Arpa told Reuters on Friday at Baselworld, the watch and jewellery industry’s largest annual trade fair.

“Why do people buy expensive watches? To have a trophy. A watch (costing) $9 gives the time as well as a watch at $500,000, so they really buy a trophy,” Arpa said.

The “Day&Night” watch uses the complicated Tourbillon movement — invented to overcome earth’s gravity which used to affect the accuracy of watches — which lures watch connoisseurs as well as fashion aficionados.

The Geneva-based company, founded in 2004, also has an order backlog of up to two-and-a-half years for its “Titanic DNA” watch, which is made from steel and coal from the Titanic and can cost as much as $500,000.

“If you do something that is different, which is interesting, it pays,” Arpa said.
